Cant help with Defender TD5 reading a DII TD5, but my DII Nanocom happily reads Defender TD5 engines,most useful.

Thanks it now looks like I hoped it would be, seems the same Nanocom will read the TD5 engine on Defender or Discovery whichever you have enabled.

Im going to chase the the guys who said they could come out to it, one more time.

Looks good for reading the Discovery TD5 engine with the Defender unit, Let me know how you get on and if necessary we can set up the loan.

It seems that both units can read engine functions, I went to my pages on the nanocom site and I have the same set up as Bigeee shows on the previous page of this thread.
i.e. engine management for defender and discovery.

I just checked my unlock code and it shows defender and discovery for TD5 engine management.

Beaten to it by a minute or two, will be good to get back on the road to finally get a chance to see what info the nanocom gets out of the disco.

Yes that's what I hoped when I started out, I suppose, that they use the same engine management, because when I look into my ECU I see functions which I don't have they just don't connect them, I think this is pretty standard in the auto industry they just make the minimum of different components, I can remember when some cars had standard wiring looms which had connections for every option they just hook up the bits you pay for.
