From what I could see you can only get the latest versionCan you not get it from BBS site?

It is known to cause a few issues dealing with .tun files. I still need to be able to deal with these and I don't need the latest features as we have other software for this.
Blackbox are adamant the only firmware available is the latest. I will have to see if it's on an old computer somewhere!

Yes, and the reason they will not provide earlier versions of firmware is because part of the newer versions is updated encryption of .tun files, which incidentally you now need to buy a token from them for 20 euros or get a map through one of their "approved tuners"
