was given a engine free 2.5na
prob is its blowing the oil filler cap off the rocker box.
seen running not getting hot

just blowin the cap up in air. WTF
COULD IT JUST BE UPSET ABOUT SOMETHING.

Has blown between a cylinder and a push rod hole,this would result in pressure. It's off with the head time.

i will be putting a head set on in summer i have been told its a nice engine.
they removed it for a tdi .
mines wore now so a gift for nowt

As above, very likely head gasket. Try removing the rocker cover and starting it up. If the cylinder is blowing into the pushrod gallery you will probably easily see the gas blowing up.

You will most likely be able to see where the gas has run across the gasket after you have removed the head. Also you can check for cracked pistons.

What split charger you got? Some have a sure start function on your main battery. But I would say use your slave.
