Hi.

I'm Amin, a new user in this website. I have an Iranian made (Morattab) Land Rover series 3, made 1984. Morattab is a car factory in Iran which had to made landrovers before 1985 and is still manufacturing a truck named Pazhan which is very similar to landrover defender in body shape, but it is fitted by a V6 engine.

I started a conversion project on my landy, I changed the color and painted it yellow and installed aluminium wheels. I changed the front view to defender style ( by replacing the engine cover and front grill) , changed side mirrors to defender mirrors and did some other changes.

I am upgrading the interior design and fixing new chairs these days.

I'm sorry if my english is not good, ;)

These are some pictures of my Land Rover:

thank you :)
I'm also trying to make a hand made snorkel, I guess using plastic drain pipes are a good idea. but I don't know how to connect it to the air filter. do I have to replace it to a diferent filter?

use a 200tdi air filter housing and weld a plate over the small hole the last one i made was out of upvc pressure pipe as its thicker and stronger than drain pipe

yes , PVC or UPVC pipes are better. but I wonder if removing the oil bath air filter may couse damage to the engine in dusty places and deserts in my country. the oil bath is the best system Land Rover selected for this kind of environment.

ah i see thats what i have in my 1973 88 (oil bath type) i would look into it as here in scotland we have a distinct lack of desert ! i will be using a 200 tdi airbox when i fabricate a snorkel for mine in the near future, what type of v6 is it?

i always thought oil bath type were old technology and modern filters had progressed enough to do away with wet filtering but i suppose motox bikes are wet

It is not a V6, Morattab co. started manufacturing V6 Pazhan since 1995.
My car has a 4 cylender gasoline engine. It is a series 3 which were still in production in Morattab in 1984.

My car does not look like a series Land rover because I replaced it's front body parts with newer makes.

for more information, this is a pazhan v6 (not mine)

Hi and wellcome, Looks a nice landy, How mutch do these cost over there? might be nice to import one

Hi :)
These Pazhans ( Iranian made Land Rovers ) cost about twenty thousand USD here. ( +200 ) . they are equipped with an updated version of a V6, 3000cc, 160 hp engine originally from the 1998 Mitsubishi Galloper. they have a 5-speed manual gearbox, front and rear coil suspension, power steering, air conditioning system and altitude and angle meter.

there are lot's of after market options available for Pazhans.

Pazhans had not passed new environmental standards and becuase of that, Morattab had to stop monufacturing the passenger types of the car. Morattab is now selling only double cabin pickup Pazhans these days because fortunately Pickup Pazhans are classified as cargo vehicles and getting MOT certificate for Pazhans as cargo vehicles are still possible!

your landy is so fantastic. the red color ,dont you think it might be more beautifull?:hysterically_laughi

:welcome2: Your vehicle is very nice and your English is better than some of the other English speaking members. Are these bank notes still worth anything?
