So what did you find out in a month? Not much by the sounds of it, if you needed to be told the speedo runs off the wheel speed sensor/s
Why wait, plug it in now and see what you can see with your reader. Then at least you will know if it is possible to monitor.
I have at no point implied any RPM or speed, I focus on the physical fit side of the question.
I suppose I did mention it was a big ratio change at the beginning to be fair, but you then pointed out you had such a mechanical knowledge I thought "well this guy understands"
You also learnt it here on the same day from the guy you are now calling an idiot.
I would have thought that after researching for a month you would have got the technical manual that would explain the process.
I have already said I dont see why they wont fit even down to the fact the O ring seal behind the front diff is the same, but that some bolt lengths are different. But driveshafts may or maynot be the same. of course I did find the info I provided to you in less than a month.
Technically no, you answered some yes. I dont think you answered any of mine with anything but disdain.
But of course google chat bot gives all your answers as has been seen many times here. Myself I prefer a technical manual, or others experience. But you wont even take that even though you are asking for it.
You have a Range Rover, much to your disgust it has many ECUs for things. My 1996 Range rover is the same (decades old we say) it too runs its speedo off the wheel speed sensors.
Your post about the output shaft sensor, Was this autobox related? Because yes, yet again I pointed out to you that they have 2 input & output, but I believe that they are only used for the gearbox ECU for shifts and TC lockup.
Some are refered to as "road speed" sensor some just "output shaft speed" They are called many different names.
I dont have enough knowledge to argue eaxactly what they do. But you had better hope that yours does not use that sensor with the wheel speed sensor as a coralation for the speedo as it will likely throw a hissy fit.

I came here to get that detailed knowledge, and I got it, so now I have it.

I got the answer to my initial question within a few days (from this forum and another), being that there is no obvious reason why it will definitely not work, and the other differential is most likely going to fit.
I never asked if it would definitely work, I asked if it was a crazy idea, meaning if it would definitely not work, but you probably don't understand the difference.
One of the major jokes here is that people here claim that my idea cannot work because Range Rover made the perfect car that should never be modified.
Yet many people modify their cars to suit their personal needs and preferences, with a huge aftermarket accessories industry existing for this purpose, including for Range Rovers.
No car manufacturer makes a car for one specific person, they make cars for a general purpose and try to satisfy as many people as possible at a basic level to sell more cars.
This is the most basic childish pathetic loser response to my idea: "You cannot change your differentials because Range Rover already decided the perfect differential ratio for every possible use situation."
But here we are, almost 30 pages long, and people are still repeating the same lie.
"You are not allowed to change your car because it is already perfect."
What a bunch of losers.
But laughing at them is still funny after 29 pages, which is the biggest surprise to me.
When I posted my question I expected losers to come here and attack me, so it was not a surprise to me when it happened.
I had planned to ignore them and leave as soon as I got the answer to my question.
What surprised me is how funny it was, and how interacting with them was so hilarious.
But the longevity of the comedy of their stupidity has been the greatest surprise to me, as I expected the comedy of it to run out after a few days.
Every day some idiot who was wrong 20 times before tries another gotcha question to catch me out, and they are wrong again.
At what point does someone stop banging their head against the wall?

The ZF5HP24 is a robust gearbox without any major known issues, and is not the weak point of my system, so I do not care if it is put under slightly more stress.
So once again the hysterical problem that I have been told to worry about does not relate to my specific situation so I am ignoring it.
Hysterical answers that do not relate to my situation are just a waste of my time, yet all but one person here has done that, over and over and over again...

My edit correctly responded to your comment and acknowledged that I was wrong.
I don't spend much time reading the insults and gotcha questions and I respond very quickly using voice dictation without really thinking about my answers in detail.
The point is that you guys are still attacking me after 30 pages because I didn't agree with your stupid irrelevant hysterical ideas.
