Haaaaaaaa!!!The rest of that thread went extremely like the one on here!!!!
But the other one that did it and said it was fine was NOT doing it to RRs!!!
"Actually, on another forum someone said they had done this to three cars and it worked out great for them on all of those cars."
Quote from that forum:
"FWIW, I have done this with 3 other vehicles with excellent results. E39 M5 (3.15-2.65) W163 ML500 (3.70-3.09) and R52 Mini Cooper JCW (about 20%; math is a little complicated because diff is integrated into the transmission with 2 layshafts)."
So this guy is a TOTAL shamus.
Trying to compare apples with oranges. and then convince us with his "findings".
Shame on you.![]()

Yes my 23 year old Range Rover is uniquely different to BMWs from the same era even though they are using BMW running gear!
Even though the engine in his BMW is a higher displacement version of my actual engine, and his car is from the same era!
And I mentioned directly after his post that my engine is literally the basis from which BMW built his engine.
So it will have the same ECU.
I just noticed that you bolded and underlined the word "cars" as if that somehow makes the situation different because he is not talking about an SUV.
This text is from Wikipedia "The W163 ML500 refers to the first generation Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV, specifically the ML500 model produced from 1997 to 2004, with a V8 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission."
So an SUV with a V8 engine and a five speed automatic transmission.
Wow that sounds exactly like my car, and from the same era!
Do you have any more gotcha comments that I can prove wrong once again?
Do you understand that you just emphasize the point that was completely wrong?
Your gotcha comment did not prove anything other than you are an idiot.
How many times have you done that now?
Every single gotcha comment here has been wrong and yet you guys keep coming back here with yet another gotcha comment.
You are like the British army sending wave after wave after wave of men into the machine guns of the enemy thinking that the 15th wave of men dying will work out fine.
At what point do you say to yourself "I have been wrong 10 times with my gotcha questions, maybe I should give up?"
What is ridiculously funny is that you never will stop proving how stupid you are while thinking that you are proving your genius.
