On a mesa
because the two front doors don't close tightly enough and the wind pours in at highway speeds. During warm weather it's just noisy but the temp is dropping and soon it will affect comfort.

I've added closed cell foam weather stripping but the gap at the top of the doors is still too great.

Is there a way to adjust the doors?
 
If your door seal is bad
You can get a replacement off of a
discovery 1
They fit
Also if you have air flow at your feet check the floorboard at the gas pedal
I always had a lot there

Thanks. The seal is fine but the door doesn't close tightly. I've been poking around and it looks I can adjust the post the door latches onto to. I'm going to start there and then the move to the hinges.

also on my old 91
The door pillar at the hinges
Was rusted at the bottom where it connected at the floor board
Caused all kinds of problems
With the door
Not to say yours is rusted
Just a place to look
 
As said, try the door catches first, loosen slightly with a large allen-key then tap the bar inwards, bit at a time. Don't pull them up too tight or you will end up having the slam the doors. Try a sheet of tissue/bog roll between the door & the rubber, see if it's trapped when you try to pull it out ?
I didn't realise the hinges were shimmed, I'd be very careful if I were you, door hanging is certainly not within my comfort zone :(
 
Door shims are a right PITA. You have to take the door off to remove/insert shims which controls the door position rotationally looking side on. ie the door end corner up/down.

Against the door seals would be the striker.. or the frame positioning. there are bolts that secure the frame base with the upper bolts acting as a fulcrum
 
'Tis also worth noting the Doors can fracture around the hinges and cause the door to drop.

My "91 V8 manual had this issue..

Didn't really notice 'till i really looked. ;)
 
Door tops can get bent as well stopping them sealing at the top, normally open window and give it a tweak close window and see if it worked:D
 
That's what the SE stands for, Solihull Engineering. If you can get your fingers through the gap but not your thumbs you are within tolerance. Allows the fumes in the cab to exit safely.
