Hi All,

I am looking at buying a used 2006 discovery 3 TDV6 SE, 87k,
This will be my 1st discovery, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way of reducing the emmisions to get the tax rate lower?

Hi there! Main problem with disco3 is all the electrics, read up in the discovery section as I know little about them,

As for lower road tax, don't buy a 4x4 buy a push bike ;) on a serious note I think the v6 diesel is in the high tax band so expensive :( not sure if there's a v8 LPG available? Again I don't know how cost effective it would work out, will the disco be used for towing as well?

Hello - as above don't get a 4x4 if you want low tax (at least a proper 4x4 anyway).

It is quite high tax on the TDV6 - but it's a good all round engine. From what I hear, better than and LPG V8 one. In my opinion LPG is annoying and can be unreliable.
