just got a 53 plate discovery and getting about 330-350 miles to a full tank of diesel is this good,bad or normal.

I would say very BAD!! should be more like 500,550 to the low level light.

Usualy average 530miles for eighty litres of Gasoil and probably the same in vin rouge!!!!!

i would expect approx 500/540 miles from a full tank. (18 gallon).

its got a 92 litre tank i think so i take it the mpg is bad is there any common problems causing this as it is still under warranty

I live just north of you near Chatellerault, and If I get 700 kms for 83 litres of diesel on the TD5it's cause for celebration....what are you using - rape seed oil?

Ahhh there you go you see TD5's got a bm engine and known for being more thirsty than the 200,300tdi!!
Nope! Putting Diesel in as if you live here should know that any oil cooking or not is approx the same price as diesel and hence not worth the bother of looking a right pleb coming out of Intermarche with 82 one litre bottles of oil in a trolley!!!!!!!!!

I saw a story here a week or so ago about a famer who grows rape, and filled up his tractor, and probably his cars with the rape seed oil that he made, and got fined for it....
Round here you can buy diesel for 98 centimes this week, (about 66 pence a litre for those lucky enough to live in Britain), and I agree, you can't buy cooking oil that cheap.
Although, I've seen the locals pushing carts full of cooking oil in the supermarket car parks.....
Like your web site, hope business was good this year - most of my acquaintances who have gites in Vienne didn't do so well.
