Decided to ease off the pedal a bit and drive more like an old codger. I usually get about 29 mpg which I thought was ok. Next fill up worked out at 31.4mpg which proved that my more laid back driving style works, then...next fill up worked out at 34.8 mpg
Thats in my td5 with 76k on the clock and driving mostly on A roads with about 50 miles on motorway. I was Doing between 55-60mph on motorway (knowing that the most economical speed is 56, and sticking rigidly to the speed limits on A,B & **** roads.
The chancellor is certainly a proper knob, but at least he's given me the incentive to think more about not worrying about getting from A to B in record time and save some money.
At over £100 to fill up I should think so too!!
