Just had my insurance renewal through and it's gone up again, not happy!!!

Can anyone recommend any insurance companies for a mildly modded Disco (2" lift, side exit exhaust, diff guards etc)?

give adrian flux a ring 08005053000 saved me about £65 on what my other defender insurer wanted (and i tried all the comparison sites too)

Ta for the quick reply!
Phoned Adrian Flux tonight but they were just about to close (7PM) so they're ringing me back tomorrow night.
What are they like with mods, especially suspension lifts, Sureterm wanted an extra £129 when I told them about the lift!

i got full comp protected fer £220 wi sureterm... me 200tdi is with frank pickles with mods third party 2000 miles off road n g/lane £105

I used Adrian Flux, declared my mods and they were far cheaper than anyone else also will give further discount if you mention this site!

what happens if you dont declare all the mods?

if you have an accident the insurance won't pay anything? or do they pay for the person you hit but wont pay for any of the damage on your vehicle?

not sure how it works..
before anyone starts jumping around, yes I know you should declare, etc, etc, yada, yada....

Glynwood Insurance Brokers

They understand mods, limited mileage and agreed value.

I have the Discovery on TPFT, all mods declared* and limited mileage (haven't bothered with agreed value) with non-competative off road 3rd party cover** for less then £100.

*that includes, non factory axles, brake mods, roll cage, tyres, wheel, winch (and bumper), trip meter, GPS, CB, suspension lift, snorkel.

**to quote the nice man on the phone "just in case you mow down a rambler" :)

I'm with NFU at the moment, but they want £295 tpf&t, getting a new quote off them tomorrow with all the mods listed.
Just seems steep considering i'm 43 with a clean license and no claims! :(
Sureterm want £269 with all mods.
Will be phoning Adrian Flux and Greenwood a ring tomorrow after work.
Thanks for all the replies, gives me an idea of what I think I should be paying.

Various companies offer a discount if you're a member of a club or forum, so it does pay.

I use Road Sure for my modded disco. All mods declared, 3000 miles/yr, off road cover included provided its a properly organised event / site, greenlanin etc for £180 fully comp.

Most places deal with simple things like suspension lifts but as soon as I mentioned winch bumper a lot disappeared or wanted huge sums of money. Somethingto do with the amount of damage they can inflict.
