Hi there, I’m about to buy a Discovery 2 and have a series of mods planned, roof rack/ladder, snorkel, light bar and “scene” lights on the sides and back, LED amber warning lights, aux battery, extended dif breathers, various guards underneath etc. Nothing that unusual. Obviously this is not all going to be done in one day and the vehicle will be standard to start off with. Where do I stand with these mods and insurance? Can I declare them from the start even tho they are not on the vehicle or can I just make contact every time I do some work on it? Will I be charged for every update/modification? How does this work?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Spot1, have you tried us for insurance yet? If you wanted to drop me a PM I'd be happy to arrange a quotation for you. the majority of our specialist modified schemes let you add unlimited 'cosmetic modifications' (that do not directly increase the bhp of the vehicle) for free.

Regards
Jamie

So long as "cosmetic" doesn't include bloody bullbars? Are these still legal as I recently saw a newish VW Touareg, fitted with them and was rather surprised.
