Half way through paint job on the 90, not too late to alter the colour

Be honest, how bad is it :(

No one likes it and say its awful, I like it but I'm going to sell when I get it all sorted and and a 200 tdi shoved in so it don't matter if I like it or not its the buyer that has to love it.

I can go a darker metallic blue, pug colour or any dark blue really
cause the present colour will do as a base coat.

So what shall I do? :)

I dont think its that bad, depends on how much else you want/gonna do to it seeing as yer flogging it.
some nice big black wheels, black accessories etc, mebbe a nice "tyre marks" vinyl down the side to break it up a bit.

otherwise, a darker blue would be better if leaving it solid.

Just going to flat it all off, fix any dings etc and then paint it same colour all over, roof rack with lamps going on and a snorkel, better doors and Disco 1 alloys with chunky tyres.:)

If you just have the stuff laying about, that you're thinking of adding, then fine, just bear in mind that if you spend anything on accessories to sell it on you'll most likely lose out.

Why not advertise it as it is, mostly un-molested ready for someone to do up and don't waste time/money/effort on it that you're unlikely to recoup?

I'd much rather look at a basic, low-spec vehicle to buy, that I can add to than one only partially done. I'd always be wondering what else has also been partially done and whether the bits are actually what I want on it and whether I want to change them.

Just a thought .. ;)

Got the wheels and tyres so no cost there

Got new snorkel ready to go on

Just needs paint to make it tidy and the 200 tdi out of me scrap Disco and it'll be a good 90

The axles will be refurbished (front done) with all new brakes and braided hoses.

Some welding to do on front out rigger and a bit on the bulkhead

Got a swing away wheel carrier somewhere to put on and a roof rack and lamps

When its done it will be a cracker with no worries about things going wrong / leaking / worn out etc, a landy to buy and use with just routine maintenance .

So I have to get it looking right in order to sell cause I want top money for it.

Liking black silk roof and arches thinking about it, no chequer plate though, so nothing on body hidden.:)

I have decided to take the advice offered on here and paint the roof, arches, cross member and bumper matt or silk black.

Painted the cross member dark/mid blue today and it does break it up nicely, Looks ok but that's my opinion and may not be to everyone's taste as it may look a bit tacky with roof dark blue as well.

So blue and black it is then, should look fantastic when it's all done:)

Tried the blue but now not sure, it'll look like a circus landy:rolleyes:

if your going to all that bother paint it a color that would appeal to most people rather than just you

I wouldn't buy it that color

Wouldn't sell it you anyway, you can't even spell colour:p:p

Think I'll stick with it, black arches and cross member and Disco alloys.

It should appeal to the ladies rather than one in a macho dark colour with massive wheels, chequer plate and a winch.

Be selling nearer to winter so some one will buy it who needs a reliable good looking land rover rather than a lifted off roader, could do with some female input here, what do the ladies think ??

Needs sockets for travelling iron etc:D

I think paint roof black, black arches and sills and she'd be a good looking landy. Wouldn't be my first choice of colour but I don't hate it ( I do hate the dark blue on it though ).Some black chequer plate would look good too and would break up the blue.
