Mirrors and Alpine windows Question

Is it possible to:

1, Tighten up the ball pivots on the mirrors?

2, To retro fit alpine windows?


Basically my 93 200Tdi has floppy mirrors and no Alpine (upper) windows. As I wish to fit a rear headlining and there doesn't seem to be any for the roof without alpine windows, I was wondering if there is some sort of template kit for installing them.

Another option would be to swap a roof one with the alpine windows and roof lining. Arguably less work than cutting holes.

I swapped my roof for a roof with Alpines. Easy. Or Simonites in Bradford supply and fit Alpines. You can also get templates with the kits you can buy on Ebay.
