Coventry, bugger my luck.
Hi

I've been shopping around for a new pair of Michelin Synchrone 4x4 225/55/H17 for a little while, and the best price I've seen was Valuetyres.co.uk for around £160 a pop. Similar price at KwikFit but they add on fitting, balancing, yadda yadda yadda. I had a good experience with the Value boys so I was tempted to return.

Anyway, I bit the bullet yesterday but decided to check the prices just one last time to find, lo and behold, KwikFit have reduced the online price to £134.64 each plus fitting/disposal.

Ordered

Thought I'd share with you lovely people.

ps, no I don't work for either outfit.

Thanks for the 'heads up' - they do seem to last a long time (circa 40K) if looked after, so much better value than cheaper brands that last half that!!

Regards,

Steve

If you're going to Kwikfit make sure you watch them like a hawk when they're fitting them.

Don't know if they're all the same, but I've seen Kwikfit put nuts on cross threaded and then stare at it bemused as to why the big powerful air gun won't tighten it up no matter how many times they try it

I had many examples of this sort of thing until I came to my senses and found a reliable garage a little further down the road.

I bought my 31 x 10.5 R15 BFG AT's for about £400, fitted locally via Blackcircles website .. then sold the old set of four for £250 on ebay ... still had over 8mm of tread despite over 25000 miles on them, just tread block edges were rounded and losing grip off-road a bit!
