hi, my alternator light comes up after an of road afternoon, batt is not charging, I cleaned vaccum hoses and main conector with no positive results. Seeing manual, I can see there is a multiplug to disconect. Can I clean it to be sure it's not the failure cause?

check the bushes in the back of the alternator, and check all the cables for damage.
