The beast is back to perfection and on the road? Not the missus, the Rangie.
still running but with a few little niggly jobs to do when time and funds permit.

Yours has a single exhaust on a 2001 plate? Weird, thought they all went double somewhere between '97/'98. Then there was the light lenses change around 99 with the 4W TC.
Oooo, handbags.You must be able drink yours from other side of the room
My butler doesnt drive it my chauffeur doesOooo, handbags.
You do anything with those steps, or too busy?
If I can get a free exhaust after 24 years I'll be happy.
Yes always thought was strange as well to only have single but was told by a few places there were some with single exhaust, maybe I should convert to twin ?
[QUOTE="emcm0034, post: 4543132, member: 119777”] maybe I should convert to twin ?
On MY2000 diesel twin exhaust, the brake lines are clipped the the body floor between the tank and the chassis on the drivers side (RHD), one pipe crosses above the rear axle right to left and is the one that fails often where it makes a 90 degree turn as it is exposed to airflow ducted by the tank and chassis.On the twin the brake lines are routed differently. I suspect yours go behind the fuel tank rather than along the axle?
RECALL OUTCOME
I rang the dealership. Very friendly and helpful. The recall is to do with the Warn winch fitted! Except, I have no winch fitted. Maybe it had one originally? Anyway, she says I have to bring it in so they can verify the part is no longer there or if it is, if it is one of the ones affected. Once verified they will update their system and then that will flow through to the government website and that warning will vanish. Given mine is slightly immobile at the moment I said I'd have to ring them back to book it in.
Two is double trouble. There are advantages to single. Twin is more weight cost and liability for sound.
I really do need a new one, this is only a bit of old metal I found lying around back before I lent out my MIG. It’s lasted few years but shopping trip killed it today, @frog hopper my squeak was somewhat easier to track down - I’m almost sure I could hear you laugh as it went clonk
