post christmas update! The bracketry for the snorkels are now in and are heading to paint. Should be ready for ordering on Wednesday next week. Additionally I should be able to get some exhaust guards as he has found some rear plates!.

bit of a strange one but know mantec said they would do the exhaust guards, do you think they would be able to just do the receiver hitch has have no back box so no need for the guard, Is there a number i could call someone from mantec on that might be able to help?

Yep they would probably be able to do it. If you just ring mantec and go for option 2 at the menus, you should get through to Nick who is the tech guru there.

Nope no update as yet. They are still trying to clear the backlog from christmas, and then to find a slot for the snorkels. Don't think they have had much time to look at the bars.

I did however take a look under the 3door front capping piece on Sunday, and I couldnt really see any holes to mount it to easily so it may be slightly more complicated, or maybe something I have missed

just spoken to nick, he can't give me a confirmed answer, but doesn't see why not, for the receiver hitch only as they would just make one more than the shields they have. He did say that part of the snorkels arrived yesterday, so thought would post up to let you all know.

Am i too late for Snorkel order?? Am interested if i've not missed it. Whats the details?

Nope not too late. Will find out on friday when I get back off tour what the crack is. There will be around five snorkels produced so there will probably be a couple still looking for homes.
 
Hi All.

Right so the update is that they are now in paint and are waiting to come back before dispatch/purchase. Additionally there are 3 or 4 rear exhaust guard kits available.

One thing to note is that these will fit the 5 door only as standard at the top mounting bracket. This snorkel uses the 5 door front roof rail bolts as standard (will just sit underneath the rail itself). However the three door rails are further back. One option is to extend the brackets or alternatively look at removing the front roof capping and making a bracket with that. I have Nick at Mantec looking into it at his end so we can come up with a good solution. If anyone is nearby mantec in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and could possibly take their 3door freebie over to assist at some point, it may help with a solution.
 
Hi Duncan,

Is it possible to have a 'catch-up' post for those of us who have just found this thread?

I've not had much luck finding info on the Mantec Freelander products, even on their website, but I'm interested in all of the under body protection products.
