Ideal, put me down for a snorkel, even though i have a 3 door, did you find out anymore information on that? Or will i have to modify/lengthen the bracket for my roof rail....

No change on that, though it shouldnt be too hard. We may be able to come up with a solution, but it will still be supplied as is. another option i thought of whilst not as secure (though it wont be taking any weight really anyway) is to remove the roof rail capping on the very front infront of the sunroof (the black plastic bit which sits flush with the roof) and drill two holes though it, bolt the supplied bracket to it, then clip it back in.

Thanks for that. Yes shouldn't be too much weight. Was thinking that myself, maybe a piece of ali, twist it and at an angle could be perfect for that roof piece. Couple of sealing rings/washers should do the trick to stop water ingress and leaking roof
 
that capping isn't considered a waterproof part really but should be strong enough. It doesn't go through to the inner roof so isn't really needing to be waterproofed afaik?
 
Hi Guys. Good and bad news im afraid. The kit is in but for some reason they have increased the price on what we discussed. I have copied and pasted his email as follows:


Right, as it stands......

I have 3 Raised air intakes available for the Freelander 1.

Price will be £ 160.20 + VAT so £ 192.24 + postage @ £10.80 so £ 203.04 delivered via next day courier.

If any of the guys you know want them, I would suggest they are quick because I'm getting calls for them left right and centre, one went yesterday. My stockist would also like to take them as well.
I'm having the raised air intakes re-costed via a new supplier, so there is a good chance they will be available again in the future via the normal channels.


I also currently have 2 Exhaust guard / tow assemblies available. They will be £ 225 + VAT + postage and will include the tow bracket, customers will have to provide their own 4-3/4 ton shackle. So £280.80 delivered. The old retail price for these was £315 + VAT so a significant saving, again, if any of the guys you know want them, I would be quick as for some reason I'm getting calls on them to, maybe it's the guys you know ringing direct ?? I don't know.

I will be "test" fitting one of the exhaust guards tomorrow to confirm fitment etc to make sure they are all ok. This will be done with my stockist as he has a Freelander 1. I will be looking into re-launching the products via him as he would give me firm orders for manufacture, and he would also I'm sure do deals for "group" buys.

These will also be re-costed and may also be available again.

The ali sump guards, I don’t have any of those as you know, we could make them, but to do that I need firm orders / payment for them to go ahead. A "min" of 4 for a group buy. The would be approx £240 + VAT each. My stockist may well confirm those for me and you guys can deal with him direct.
 
No, you need to replace whole bar between chassis legs.
But you van buy an 2" hitch ball , and leave trailer socket as mine.
