Series 3 Manifold Frustrations

HEY all

I have a problem, the bolts holding the exhaust to the exhaust manifold have sheared and while i do have the skill to remove them I don't really have the tools so do you know if the 2.5 Na engine exhaust manifold will fit on the the 2.25 Na Diesel engine.

it will ,but your exhaust wont tit it,you might need to take it to some one who can

new manifold is £45ish on ebay

Ive got a series manifold on my 2.5 so bolts will line up but exhaust is different

Pretty sure my exhaust is a 2.25 fitted to a 2.5 manifold , was originally on my 15J Sherpa engine the flange has its holes cut to slots to fit the manifold.
Currently on my 200di.
Not the best of jobs but been like that for 8+ years

Hi guys thanks for all the advice. Have managed to find a correct replacement locally as one of the garages up by me had a stash of old parts. So there is a new manifold in place and a shiny new exhaust to go with it as well. but this has lead to some new developments as upon poking around the chassis and bulkhead some very large holes started to appear. I think it may be time to invest in a welder and pay a visit to my gran and borrow her drive way for some repair work.
