Had a quick look but may be wrong and I can't see a thread about this already so can someone make it a sticky?

Here's some ideas I have had for making your landy safer, feel free to add on

Locking the t/b in low box and in 5th gear

Pedal locks, xeng do a very good one

Removable steering wheel

Steering wheel lock

Tracker

Cut off solenoids for the fuel lines

Locking the handbrake on

Kiltech

Wheel clamp

Boxing it in with other vehicles

Immobiliser

Isolator switches

Looked at that but they seem to be for saying what you had on when it or chored, I'm thinking about what people could fit before it gets pinched

The whole idea of rattys thread is to find out what is worth having to prevent theft.

There's several dozen other threads on prevention which tend to lean towards shotguns and trip wire

Sure some one on here has his defender nicked with no steering wheel on and it was boxed in, sadly owning a defender if someone else wants it they will take it no matter what u do

probably had a hiab crane :(

best way IMO is a large chain sunk into the ground then secure it to the landy, one that'll take a lifetime with a hacksaw or a good long time with a grinder so you're bound to hear it

What about putting BGB in your truck, a big ginger would scare anyone away :p

CCTV is no good and you can't get a conviction from it

They didn't, they smashed windows in on the 2 cars blocking and took handbrakes off and pushed them out the way! :( i think the most safe places to keep it would be in a alarmed garage with Hugh dogs in there and a BGB wouldn't hurt
