I am sure most of you have aluminium checker plate of some kind or another...

So how do you keep it nice and clean looking?

mine looks dull and tarnished.

thanks

If you can be bothered, rub it using an abrasive errasor (as in pencil rubber). The firm ink ones are best to start with before progressing onto the usual white coloured ones.

Seriously this works a treat.

You must have lots of time on your hands, when shinney spray with clear laquer

theres something not right about shiny bits on landrovers but if its your thing you can use autosol and wire wool or try some alloy wheel cleaner spray which works great but you need to keep it off your paintwork with some water proof masking tape.

I have yet to try any of the methods indicated, on reflection I think it might not be worth the time and effort, perhaps I will just her grow old gracefully, then again I might just hammerite the lot when I get the chance.....you never now maybe even black, there is alot of it though, so maybe silver is the way to go, I guess I will need to prime as well due to oxides.
