doesn't the gearbox have one already, its either that or the transfer that does.
neo magnets are VERY strong, would stand up to a jetwash, and offroad, unless they get physically shoved off if you ground it.
NOT on the inside,if the glue unsticks magnet will be attracted to the gears.I got the very same magnets but mine won't stick to the drain plug?? I have a series 3, not a fender but I thought they should stick on fine. They stick to the chassis fine but not at all to any part of the gearbox or transfer box.
The only thing I can think to do is to glue them to the inside of the plug but then i'll never get all the crud off them.
It was me dad that mentioned this.Whatever you MIGHT think - I'm NOT your Dad!!!
useless idea if you've got an aluminium sump

changing the oil regulary will be more effective ,the gear box plug from an lt77 or r380 get that way from bearing races spinning in the case and wearing their seats,again oil changes are best wayuseless idea if you've got an aluminium sump
