Call the RAC/AA, take out a new membership and they'll get him home (I think).
May be cheaper than all the hassle he will have recovering it etc
 
If you do new membership... Ask whoever signs you up to put yesterdays date on docs... You have to be a member for 24 hours before first call out.
 
An hour away from us...pikey said if things are desperate he would go and take em home.

ETA... Bear in mind the Micra.. Draw straws who stays with disco and who goes home.
 
He's the best part of an hour and a bottle of red wine from me as well unfortunately :(
 
Goodo least they get home... Disco some would say 'sadly' comes 2nd to wife and kids home safe. :D

Phone fire station ask em to keep an eye on it. :)
 
If its any help, i'm off work tomorrow and can possibly rig something up to tow him to some sort of safe haven (I don't have a fixed bar or anything). My contact details should be logged on LZIR database.

Hi guys n gals. Just arrived home. Kids safely in bed and Drover is spending his time on a pretty busy road under a street light... I know that's not ideal but I saw nearly a dozen police cars up and down the road in our time sat in car park.

Going to ring bank in morning about upgrading our old paid account to a slightly more expensive one that offers uk wide recovery rather than the miserly 10 miles we're offered at the moment.

I now have some thinking to do when Drover gets home and diagnosed - long term resto project or 2 into 1 with another disco???

Dipped the oil before we left and it was as it should be ... Black. No white smoke on the start up. Temp Guage bang on normal. Just a git to start and struggles to hold decent revs then cuts.

Could it be a bastid airlock from hell or is it the dreaded HGF or some random curse that seems to strike whenever Drover enters England??? I guess time will tell.

Thank you to my dear LZ friends for your help, suggestions and support during this evening. You are bloody legends! ;)
