What are all you folk with tents going to do though, they only allow caravans and motor homes and don't have showers or toilets.
Is there another site close by

Yep,
Stanford Hall Caravan Park in Leicestershire
Each unit must be totally self-contained as there are no toilet or shower facilities on site however there are four conveniently placed service points. We can therefore only permit Caravans and Motor Homes, however we do allow trailer tents and folding caravans that have their own facilities. Sorry no tents.

Firstly its 3.5 hrs...exactly the same as were doing to come on the lakes trip and less than the Cornwall bods and secondly we couldn't find anywhere more northern that would have us at a price we could afford. ..happy to pass on the 40+ site details and various email correspondence to you

Ignore the info on the site...its already been taken care of. Showers and toilets will be provided. ..we will be able to accommodate everyone from tents to roof tents, to caravans, mobile homes to kipping in your landy.....plus all manner of hotel accommodation. ..give us a few days and all details will be available

Well we finally have a venue and a date arranged, so start putting in your annual leave requests, permission slips from the OH, or just generally sorting your life out.
The venue is going to be in Leicestershire LE17- at Stanford Hall Caravan Park.
We are still in the process of sorting out a few details like cost and how you get tickets and what will be included but they'll be posted as soon as soon as we get it sorted . We wanted people to be able to start making plans around the date ASAP.
There are a number of accommodation options open to people from camping, caravaning, camping pods, discounted budget hotels nearby, to rooms within the 5* Stately Home on the estate . Again we will post all the details with costs, locations and contact numbers very soon
Sorry guys and gals, Buffaloknight and myself will have to call no show on this ... too far to come !!!
2,454.6 miles and that's a lot of doozil and veg oil - if it had been April as suggested originally that would have been Ok, but never mind... we may see some of you later in the year
