LT77 Gearbox & LT230 Transfer Box recon advice

I've now stripped down my 90 to chassis and am keen to get both gear & transfer boxes out and get them reconditioned before I start building it back up.

I've got quotes of £490+Vat for each box....does this sound about right?

It's a 1985 90 and both boxes felt tired before the stripdown so it's got to be done

You need to look closer to home, if you get my drift

Mine are going to AW Transmision £400 ish per box.

Loads on auction and some direct sale. Auction ones may go cheaper but direct sale ones were £600+vat I think. No lt230's tho so prob better getting yours done

Don't think it's so simple without pullers, press and no doubt other specialist tools.
Still something I'd like to have a go at one day though

Infact I might have an lt230 to do soon actually

I would get the gbox rebuilt as thats the weak point and get a good used tfer box off of someone you can trust ie LZ member.
