Hi all, The low range linkage on my 97 disco has broken, the lever waggles uselessly. I have found the yolk in the linkage on the transfer box to be broken. Has anyone else managed to fix this without removing the transfer box? I think I can reach it if I take off the front prop shaft. Does anyone have a part number for the yolk section ? I have googled hi and low but it's very difficult to find, none of the parts places has a photo of such a small and obscure part! many thanks

I take it you have a standard R380 gearbox ?

Have a look from the top after you've removed the centre console ...

This is a picky of the transferbox case

Wow, that's brilliant Dippypud, It's part 26 that's broken. Days of trawling the internet, and problem solved within 30 mins on Landyzone!:) Many Thanks

You're more than welcome ...

try shopping around for a replacement and whilst you're there fitting it() make sure to lube the rest of the linkage before the winter sets in ...

Finally got round to fixing the low range linkage, it's awkward or impossible from underneath, so took out the centre console and drilled out the rivets from the gear lever cover.
Undid the broken clevis taking care not to drop anything, it was a bit fiddly to replace it. Took the opportunity to re_grease the low range lever as well, last did it 3 years ago.Did this all in the dark, using an led inspection lamp!

Sorry to revive an old thread but this issue has just happened to my Dad's Td5 90.

Basically the Clevis pin has lost it retaining clip and it started to work its way out. This resulted in us be in stuck in low range as the pin jammed against the t box casing until we could wriggle it back in. I'm just waiting for it to fall out again until I can find these clips!!

Can anyone tell me the part no for the retaining clip (part 23) in the diagram posted by Dippypud, please?

My issue is the clevis (part 26 above) is broken, I want to renew it but the pin is inserted with the domed head towards the TB casing, so that it doesn't fall out, clever, but that means its not an easy job to remove the clevis?
I don't want to remove the TB, will that rectangular section at the top of the TB release the transfer lever if I removed that, accessing it from the hatch beneath the middle seat?
I suppose the really important thing is to clean around the area very scrupulously to avoid getting anything in the TB as that assembly comes away?
