Now I have replaced the wiring loom for the fuel rail fingers crossed , I thought some new wheels are in order (the mrs thinks the16" are to small) Would you knowledgeable gents have a look at the pics and tell me what type of alloys they are and if they are indeed 17" thank you

I've got a set of 5 17" BBS Vortex alloys that I would sell. No tyres, but I can get a price for 5 new tyres from my brothers garage. :)

Note that the Triple Sport is also available in 16" - so make sure you get the right size. Also note that the triple sport was also available on very early cars and have a different wheel offset which doesn't suit the later cars (2001-on). Remember the simple dimple rule (wheels with dimples or small holes between each wheel stud are suitable for the later cars and can be retro-fitted to earlier cars - those without the dimples can't be fitted to later cars unless used with spacers)*

(* Inevitably, there are exceptions, as very late facelift cars didn't have the dimples either, but generally they're of the more squared "modern" design)

I've a set of 5 17" TREK (the ones in the last pic) no tyres. If you want to arrange collection they're yours. need to empty the shed.

The dimples began to disappear after the facelift FL1 came out. My SE's original week 30 2004 Freedom rims didn't have dimples between the mounting holes.

Good point about the Triple Sport being able in 16" and 17" sizes. My ES V6 had 16" Triple Sport rims.

I've seen some 19" on eBay supposedly for a Freelander or evoque. I would be very tempted but I've only just replaced all my tyres.

Evoque wheels don't fit the FL1. The Evoque, Discovery Sport and FL2 use the Ford 5 X 108 PCD.
The FL1 uses the Japanese 5 X 114.3 PCD.
