Well to throw a spanner in the works:

I've tried a number of times to get the DVLA to correctly classify my 110 CSW (original) as an ESTATE or STATION WAGON (the model states County SW but body type says LIGHT UTILITY 4x4). The latest response stated that a letter from LR is required which I can't be arsed to chase up yet (I'll be living in Surrey and while a bit of an annoyance I'm fairly sure I can avoid the inside of the M25 if so required).

Anyway the royal spanner in the works is that my 110 which is registered as a light utility 4x4 is shown as "Not Subject to LEZ" on TfL's website, my 88" 2.25D is shown as "Non-Compliant from 2012".

So maybe the compliance checker is slightly more intelligent than just looking at the body-type now - the 110 was previously showing "Non-Compliant" until a couple of months ago.

All this LEZ **** has got **** all to do with emissions or all disco's would be band from London, there starting with commercial vehicles cos they like to help the small business man like myself  ****ers.

They will ban the estates later you watch.

My 90CSW say's non compliant from 2012. Lunacy. I mean, it's actually called a station wagon ffs. Did'nt realise he LEZ was almost the entire area inside the M25:doh:

May have to try and get the V5 changed, but looks like that may not be very easy now:mad:

Be interesting to see if this results in an explosion of cloned Station wagon registrations inside the LEZ?? and wonder if mine has now shot up in value inside the M25.....

No LEZ Charges
No Congestion Charges
Running on WVO at 55p a lire

Never thought Id be saying a diesel 110 was an economical choice :)

Cheers Steve

You shouldnt need to as your landy will be on the DVLA database, unless registered abroad and visiting London in it there is no need to register.

Cheers Steve

I appreciate it's on the DVLA, I was meaning trying to register to change the current non-compliant status, rather than registering existance. However, not sure this an appropriate route to take.

p.s. However, my VIN says SALLDVA (the last A being for a basic, soft top, pick up or hard top van commercial, when it should be B for Defender 3dr Station Wagon). I'm convinced its an original CSW, my indie recons it probably just got finished off in Solly as a CSW after it had already been VIN's up as a van. Happens now and then apparently.

I got the V5 for my 98 300tdi 110 CSW changed to read "Estate" but it is still classed as non compliant by tfl on account of having 12 seats and they're telling me its a mini bus!!!

.......The only fact in all of this is that tfl/LEZ ain't got an effing clue
