So I'm new and clueless. California USA is where I am. Moving soon. Someone tried to drill the passenger door lock out of my rig a 99 discovery SD and I guess it's locked down security or ? I can turn the motor over but have no fuel supply. Squirt a bit of starting fluid in the intake and starts and runs for a second or two. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have always wanted a Land Rover. Now that I have one I always wanted to drive one too!
thanks, stumpy jo

Hope you're a patient bloke as it's just gone 6am in the UK and most peeps are still hugging their pillows dreaming of their pet pig:p
Welcome to the loony zone from a cold Birmingham and not the alabama one :D

Sorry can't help you with your question but I'm sure it'll have something to do with the eka code

nice to know ya Marmaduke. I'll get time zones figured. Thanks for the heads up, or off the pillow for a bit. eka yeah that sounds like it might be a bit of a help. I'll wait my turn. I haven't done much around the globe I look forward to a fun go in this group.

Very much sounds like an immobiliser issue. The EKA code is a four figure code to allow you to use the key in the drivers door lock to disarm the immobiliser. However, if the lock has been drilled, it may be stuffed, to say the least.

If you can't get the key to engage in the lock, you WILL need the services of a garage.

As you're in CA (from your profile note above), I'd suggest:

British Pacific,
4109 Guardian Street,
Simi Valley, CA 93063 - USA

M-F 8:30am-5:30pm Pacific

They have an 800 number: 800-533-2210
