lock nut key

My daily disco spare wheel cart has rusted off and the wheel fell off but I have a spare disco2 so I pulled the carrier off and found that it had a lock nut on it so I tried a chisel and no hope next step is to take it to my uncle and weld a pipe onto it and open it any ideas how to pull it off?

I bought a key not long ago from ebay. Mine was 'code C'.

I was surprised to find the code stamped on the lock nut. It was a bit faint but was correct. Of course a month or so later the original turned up.

Mine is very rusty at parts and couldn’t find code

Take photo of the locknut clearly showing the slots/cutouts and try your local Landrover dealer
They should be able to match it.
Or can you get a grip with a pair of mole grips?

Find an socket which is just too small to fit and hammer it on 12 point sockets work best be warned socket will probably be trashed.check out you tube.

Any of the locknut keys will work if you file down one of the lugs...and use carefully!

MIght have a old socket somewhere
