this post has livened up a bit... i will think about coming if i can sort out my overheating problem before then... last summer we cooked inside my 90. all the heat was coming in the cab. it was stupid. couldnt cool down.

sleeping bags. try millets they have a sale at the mo. we bought a pair of vango bags which zip together for £20 each. their 3 season ones too. awesome.

i also have a spare 2 man dome tent if you need one.

ffs griff, the water out of yer engine enters the matricx which in turn allows heat into yer car, if you bypass thematrix with a piece of copper pipe between the hoses then the matrix wont get hot thus stopping the hot air from yer matrix being blown into yer car, job sorted, now book yer ticket fer france ;)

lol... hmmm, yer i thought that after i posted :D honest! but thats only a quick fix to my overall problem aint it? if i can get broken legs to "stump" up £250 i will be there :) that should be, we will be there.

hello yella,
im may be interested in your trip, and i am already in europe and i have promised my son a trip in my landrover.
my vehicle is not upto any thing right now but by then i will be really keen and will look out for any reminders nearer the time.
thanx

OK, after reading the comments on page 20 by yella about the ammount being £500 but only if 30 go, we cant put a deposit down on it til we know what price its going to be as if it goes up then we cant afford to go and thus would lose the deposit.

Crazy I think it's £500 for 2 people and if 30 or more go i'll be cheaper than that.
I'm not sure if I'm coming now...........the thought of sleeping in a tent on the floor reeeelly don't appeal to me..........plus leaving Titus for a week may not be a good idea.

hey Catspoo
there is an alternative.
Slob has sed there are b&b facilities close by and the £500 covers 2 days of roading in ya vehicle. I am thinking of going too - but wont be camping or off-roading either (unless I can scrounge a ride), but £500 for the ferry trip is an expensive choice, even for two.
Maybe for those that dont wanna camp and wont be offroading, it would be possible to have an alternative package that covers ferry, b&b and acccess to the offroading/camp site?
wodga fink, folks?

I think that will make things even more complicated.............it seems as if it has taken this long to get one sort of trip sorted out let alone 2!!
I guess I could rough it for a week.............but it's Titus that is my main concern, I've never left him before. Me Mum said she'll keep an eye on him but it's not the same...............I won't be there.
