Me and roy have been chatting to one of the organisers of http://www.bristolandwestlandrovershow.com/index.html His name is Mark Pattenden and he is a member on Landyzone as Discovery2man and he should now have a nice shiny orange username.

If you have a look on the website you will notice that the show isn't the normal commercialised show, it's for charity BLESMA

Basically Mark likes to set himself a bit of a challenge, and for this show he wants to have the record for largest Land rover gathering in one place. The Blesma challenge is to get more than 1000 Land Rovers into the shape of a Land rover for the record.

We are planning to have a club stand at the the show, and from speaking to Mark it sounds like it could be a very good weekend!.

So the question is, who is interested in having a LandyZone club stand? On the forms it says 8 vehicles per club, but Mark says that if we can raise more, he will find a way to accomodate us.
So have a look at the website, see what you think and Vote in the poll.

We hopes to be there midday Friday too. Can meet you anywhere on the way down as I guess you'll be going M6 M5

Sounds like a plan. We can sort the timing out nearer the day, we will be M6 M5 as you guessed.

I think BB was getting a generator and I may have one coming too, along with a gas BBQ and maybe a fridge :) if we end up with more than one generator i vote that we just leave the quietest one on at night for the beer fridge's!:D

If everyone one brings what they have, we will be sorted! As an old boss used to say, better to be looking at it than looking for it!

If ya bring ya tow pole with ya Si can save some fuel on the way down.:p:p:p

I dunno if the drum is to be sliced in half for a bbq or if it needs drilling to use as a brazier.:eek::rolleyes:

This Acctually worked really well as both, I'm sure he will be bringing it with him, just not particularly big

Can we (me, psulli16 and 110w) tag onto the convoy from he mids??

Guys if money is tight then you can economize by stealing sirus's pies or cooking food on equipment that should be there- canned food is an easy way to avoid needing fridge and is what I do when at events.

psulli16 and Deasy83, could you not car share and split the costs?

You could hook up with us on the M5. Accys towing us all down from there:D

There will be plenty of us doing the weekend on the cheap - don't need to spend a fortune to have a brilliant weekend in my opinion.
