It's my svelte figure that makes the photo greatwill have to charge you for photos this year, as last years picture went all over uk lol
Sunday offering to those then - off road around the event field - Its big enoughSunday laning will be in the morning...please take into consideration you may (!) have had a drink or seven the night before.
Ang on!For those worrying about the laning .. basically it's just a good, sightly challenging drive, there is little that can cause real problems unless you drive stupidly! When we say scratchy we mean you'll get brushed by foliage and the odd few twigs, not like the Derbyshire Tree Beasts that scrape your car to bits .... The lanes themselves are mostly nice, can be muddy and slippery, but there are no rock climbs or mud wallows, just decent lanes between fields, through woods and are great if you like nice views. The 'challenging' points are a couple of rutted areas if it's been particularly wet, and a couple of 'pinch points' at the start of a couple of the lanes. All assuming they're roughly the same lanes we've done in years gone by ....
Those of us who lead are well experienced, carry recovery gear and (so far) haven't left anyone, even the pillocks, behind us ... yet!
With the amount of slack in my drive train every manoeuvre involves a clunk and a lurch followed closely by some kangeroo ing before selecting the next gear and repeating the same sorry slacky saga.Forgot about it, but I think Sunday I'll be doing an It's a knockout type thing using the Landies ..
Probably very simple, like putting a bucket of water on the bonnet and driving round a course. Points for fastest time, slowest time, and amount of water left. Actually that could run through some of Saturday too so everyone can have a go when they have a free minute ... even if they aren't in Landies ...
I originally thought about balancing a colander of eggs on the drivers head like Top Gear did .....
