Hi I have a 1996 landrover defender and I need a new ignition key but am having trouble trying to find someone who can cut new one I live in Ireland

try https://www.keymoon.uk/defender.html , i had a replacement door key of them, cut to code and a picture, spot on! they do ignition keys as well

last time I needed keys cut I just went to my local cobblers. Have had Timpsons do them in the past as well. They ahould Not be uncommon or difficult I am surpised you are struggling.

My wife was in uk,and she tried timpsons and they could only go,back,till,1998 to get info for right blank so will keep trying thanks for reply

I might be wrong but I’m fairly sure the ‘98 model and the ‘96 model will be using the same key. Both are the 300tdi model years.
