Guys,

Can any one suggest good Land Rover/Range Rover specialist for general service and minor body works in North West London(Wembley, Harrow) Area?

Cheers,

They are all the same. And besides, a service is a service. It's mechanics 101. The basics. A trained monkey can do it.

I just typed in "land rover dealer north west london" and it came up with several. Take your pick.

I wouldn't use Land Rover for body work though! Heavens no! NO NO NO NO NO!

Well, unless money is no object. I wouldn't be surprised if you took your car in there with a small dent in a door and for them to turn around and say you need a new door. lol

Its a bit of a desert for LR independents but if you would go a little bit further out - Harris Mayes Country Cars in Rickmansworth, or Kings Langley Land Rover in (not surprisngly) Kings Langley.
Harris Mayes look after my RRC and Defender, and KLLR looked after my 109 until I sold it.
Harris Mayes are on 01923 711800 and Peter Harris Mayes is the guy to whom to speak - he has forgotten more about LandRovers than I`ll ever know and still runs the Series 2a he bought new in 1967. They also have courtesy cars and you just pay for the petrol, which makes it a lot easier. They can`t be more than 20 minutes from Harrow
I have no connection with either garage other than as a customer (and I don`t even get a discount !)

Got to seriously disagree. They're not all the same, knowledge and customer service varies from one to another. Some independent specialists are almost as bad at ripping off owners, as the main stealers. Whilst others are friendly, helpful and charge reasonable labour and give options as to which part manufacturer you want. The guys I use are the latter. Until someone on here finally pointed me in their direction , I was £k s down using rip off 'specialists'.
Just like any other trade , recommendation by word of mouth is king.

Hey Lee, you have problems, I'd suggest you start a new thread of your own, then you will get personal attention pertaining to your problem, and then it's easier find by others searching the forum, or net.;)

I presume we are talking 4.4 Petrol of the BMW variety, (L322)
Or is it the Jaguar one?

Simple, Firstly scroll to the top or bottom of this page, click on Range Rover , you will then see the slim green title bar on the forum home page, just to the right hand side and above is a small lighter green box, it says "Post new thread".
Hit that, click the prefix little down arrow to reveal L322, then write a title, something like "M62 low on compression", and write your question.

Should be within 10% of each other. So 2, 5 and 7 need redoing or you're in trouble.
