Back to the point, all im saying is that mountain biking has progressed a lot over the years, as has the equipment - so naturally the terrain is very different, ie harder and more dangerous. People with any sense want to protect themselves from serious injury, which still occurs a lot even with it.
Again ill point out that im talking about DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING, not cross country, which is different altogether.
I'd enjoy reading a sensible, constructive reply, not a blind insult at the person above about how crap you think bikes are please.
