Yep that's my 7,
its a 160 BHP Kent engine, big brakes, Ohlins shocks etc. great fun in the twisty lanes

I'm just trying to imagine taking a Caterham or similar round a track and seeing that loom up in my mirrors.
It must be a bit like the old days when our saloon car racing was in Minis etc and then the Galaxys arrived. You could beat them round the corners but it was hairy down the straights.

I sometimes go to Donnington to watch Historic sports car racing and one of the best races I ever watched had a Mini cooper S battling a 1960's Mustang. every lap the Mustang passed the mini down the straight and by the end of the lap the Mini was back in front, eventually the brakes faded on the Mustang and the Mini managed to stay in front down the straight and take the win.
Same day there was a 7LTR Cobra driven by Gerry Marshall had an ass whipping by a Lotus 15 with a 1.5 ltr ford crossflow engine.
