Lancaster insurance PROBLEM

Just got a letter throw the door

In reference to your renewal on the 16 august 2011
Unfortunately your existing insurance company have changed their criteria and are no longer offering renewal this year
Due to the type of vehicle and the modifications on the vehicle, we do not have a company that will offer a quotation this year

So it looks like lancaster nolonger want moded off roaders

My policy on the 90 will end 18 dec also cos of the mods

Been with them 2 years now on the disco no claims and a year on the 90 also no claims

I use Lancaster and can't fault them ... knocked money off my renewal so that it matched the previous year and let me also add numerous mods (lift kit, rock and body sliders, snorkel etc) at no extra cost. Is your Landy a really extreme one? If not I don't understand why they won't insure you.

Disco has
2" lift, 265 MUDs, winch, snorkel, cb

The 90
Disco engine, 2" lift, 285 MUDs, rick sliders, x2 winches, x2 winch bumpers, 6 spot lights, gal roof rack, snorkel

So no not loads of mods just the basic

Looks like I need to make a phone call see why ??????

my comp spec bobtail rr was insured with them up untill yesterday,never had any probs with lancaster.

took the winches off and sold them seperately
rr is back on with a very low price ends in 2 hrs time someone will get a bargain

I just had a quote off em for, wait for it,£1522, ffs Im 45, clean license, 13yrs ncd, i defo got the feeling they were not interested in my business, yes my disco is modded but only a winch,a snorkel, and steering guards.
got a good deal from Adrian Flux though, £417, better than the AA's renewal offer of £568.
what is goinging on with these companies???

my bobtail above was £299 fc with me and the mrs and greenlaneing/offroading cover

im only paying £329 a year with lancaster for each landy

if they don't want my money, some other fooker will

When I changed the cover over from my 300tdi disco to the 200tdi disco with Lancaster I noticed that when the certificate arrived its actually insured through LV (or a sister company of) thats probably why they had to ring me back after I listed all the mods over the phone, but saying that im still paying less than £200 and I live in the middle of the city with only 3 yrs NCD and im only 27! (yes.. only
