Think the front of the chassis has seen better days. New dumb irons on order!

And why would the previous owner cut the brake pedal?!

Nah, 'ees boots were too big and snagged 't other peddle ... so he's trimmed it back as he can't cut he boots can he ...

Nearly finished disassembly! Original plan of changing the oil and a lick of paint went out of the window then!

Decided to cut the roll cage out. Any want it - it's yours for nothing!

Managed to acquire a second hand bulkhead in good nick for £180 so it seemed a shame to hack it bits to fit round the cage. The new tub floor would need cutting in half and holes for the cage tubes so the cage has gone!
Waiting on welding new dumb irons next week and hopefully chassis paint will arrive this week.
Engine and gearbox going next weekend to be sorted.
Hopefully start putting things back together soon.

Diffs out today. Just wondering where I get the replacement foamy brown stuff for the front diff and the green sludge for the rear diff!

Nearly run out of things to take off now! Rubbed down and primed half the chassis. Getting new dumb irons fitted tomorrow and then I'll do the other half of the chassis.

I think my balls have seen better days!

However, rubbed down the front axle and gave it a coat of buzzweld - rust control primer and chassis in one top coat.

The big heap of metal parts that we have to negotiate to get into the house is now at least looking a nicer colour....be nicer still when bits start being put together and it starts to resemble a vehicle again
