Morning . Anyone else have issue with the dab signal on their l405 ? I'm lucky to get a station. Fm is a bit better but the dab pretty much doesn't work. I've reset it and re scanned etc and tried this in different places but still the same😔

DAB antenna's' - one is in the roof pod, the other is in the rear spoiler, it also has the FM antenna and an amplifier / splitter attached. The first thing to do is check for any DTC's, this will 'prove' connectivity to the amplifier(s) but not beyond, then you need to lift - not remove, the rear spoiler to check the antenna on the right is connected to the amplifier, whilst you're there, check the ground plane under the amplifier for corrosion on it's mounting bolt which is one of the hinge studs. Also check both hinges have the ground strap fitted and not corroded under the fixings.
Common issues are amplifier/splitter on the RH of the tailgate, either defective or a poor ground plane connection (it's actually a ground plane for the antenna, not the amplifier but incorporated into the amplifier assembly), water ingress into the roof pod - this will only affect DAB as it's an L band antenna, other than that, occasionally there are issues with the receiver overheating but this will manifest itself as reboots not missing signals. It's unlikely to be damaged antenna cables as that would set DTC's and you wouldn't really get any FM reception at all.

Hi bud by rh of the tailgate. Are you still meaning in the roof spoiler? And not in the compartment where the aux battery is in the boot ?

Yes mate, it's antenna 'B' on the drawing below.

I'm guessing I've finally got there after removing the totally wrong bolts under the 3rd brake light before realising the bolts near the hinges are the ones 😂😂

Is there any water ingress to the connections onto the amplifier on the right of your photo? also check the Fakra connectors - unbolt the amplifier from the ground plane & check the casing for cracks, if so, then you'll need to replace the amplifier, LR037998

@berton902, did you get to the bottom of this? My DAB used to work fine, now I get hardly anything. I tried buzzing out the two coax cables between the DAB module in the boot and the antenna module under the spoiler. The grounds are fine but there is no continuity in the middle of the connectors. Just wondered if you had the same problem?
