To be honest - It was only a thought for little while - until I came to back to earth and realised that a) my misses would never park it at Tescos and b) it would probably break down a lot.

She seems happy driving about in the mini and the kids are only little so I'll leave it be for now.

but yeah, I'd like tractor myself for mucking about in but that heated steering wheel and heated seats is so nice when it's freezing - me just being soft I guess :D

EEEWWWWW... that is soooo gay!

:p;):D:D

and fear of jealous buggers taking a key/knife to them.

I understand completely. The same Mini I talk about was subject to a car jacking at gun point a few years back. We'd only had it about 4 hours as well.

Luckily, they had the sense to park it up and wait in case it had Tracker fitted - it did and police helicopter found it 15 minutes later.

I'm so glad i don't live in fecking Birmingham any more - this was on the Wagon and Horses car park, that's now a Lidl :D

I had a Gen 2 celica convertible, lhd, only made 450 of them...god it was awesome 2 ltr dohc...gave it the beans at every opportunity, within the law of course...but worried like a new father every time i left it anywhere..

God i miss it. Would i do it again? Probably...lol

Hehe - Oh my cossies

Had a silver 4x4 - completely bog standard - had it about 2 years before it got nicked.

Then, bought a black one with full leather - Insurance insisted I had this one fitted with a tracker - they nicked it 2 days after track back had been fitted - never to be seen again.

Which reminds me - did I say that "I'm so glad I don't live in fecking Birmingham anymore" - did i mention that before?

You did..having lived in Bearwood and Small Heath i can relate...

Well at least Bearwoods only full of Yam Yams - Small Heath is full of Pak..............Pak......... - Oh I can't bring myself to say it in public.

so.. what do you mean??

by saying a towing hook, that means they need a towing hook because they brake down all the time...

but then you say you never seen a broken towing hook,? meaning they dont get towed so the hook isnt used !?!

didnt get what you are trying to say.. lol
The towing hook does seem to be well made - I have to use them often, yet I've never seen one break - therefore I conclude that the most reliable bit of an L322 is the front tow hook.(Cant say that much else seems reliable about them.....)

Holy crap, an L322 with 220k on the clock would be a bad idea - shop around bud - try and get something with 50k on a pay a little extra. Mines done 30k and I'm having little issues  Can't imagine what she'd would be like with that many miles on her

Well... I wasnt thinking about 220k! lol... but cant find anything under 80k /100k....

is there a major service at 100k? I know some cars have a major, costly, service at this mileage..

I'm a tractor boy thru and thru..i really cant see why you'd spend 16k on that..each to their own...i'd get a damn tasty td5 for that money. The tax and road limits in the uk are so restrictive...gone are the days when a motor like that can realise its potential..i'd get ****ed off that i can't use it.

Yeh, i know what you mean storm...
I'm a bit aprensive on buying a Range Rover, mainly because of all the electronic.. if things go wrong, I can't fix it! however, Im lucky enough to have a neighbour, and friend, that runs his own LR garage and has all the computers and stuff....

I'm a tight git and dont like spending money, so getting me to spend 12k on a car, is a big achievement! lol

I know I could buy a TD5, but... its still agricultural....
I have the 90 which is a tratter.... and for commuting I have a Citroen C5 estate that I bought for £800!! and has 162k miles! does the job though....but its a pile of ****e.
So I want something confortable, nice and big for the weekends, and also to replace the missus convertible Golf....

Cool!

thanks for that! certainly helps..

about your airbag light and the MOT.... a mate had a problem like that on his Merc ML..he taped the light to get through MOT :D

He wasted his time! Airbag light is not part of the MOT yet , unlike ABS light which must go out! This may however all change when new MOT rules come into play in Jan 2012!

Hence, why I need to fix mine.

It will be at great expense in both time and money - I have absolutely no idea where to start either
