Hi just looking for a bit of advice, on the way home the other evening she sprung a bit of a leak from the coolant reservoir bottle noticed this in a Tesco car park bought some glue and tape and a big bottle of water not ideal but figured it’d get me home…. Coming along the motorway about to pull into a service station to check the levels, she cut out and steam/smoke from the bonnet, temperature gauge stayed bang in the centre as normal though an oil warning light appeared.
Managed to coast into the service station, upon inspecting she’s lost an awful lot of oil. Water pouring out at a rate of knots.
Later after adding a bit more oil and turning over noticed it pretty much spraying from the vanos solenoid, ordered a new one and coolant bottle.
Decided to do an oil and filter change noticed a small amount of water come out, though not lot’s about half a cup full. The oil wasn’t milky and nor was the remaining coolant that I drained out. Noticed no o ring around the filter housing and one clip missing from just after the air box.

Though she’s cranking over she’s not starting does anyone have any suggestions? Fuel pump changed to a new one with in the past month so less suspecting fuel I’ve tried pulling out the maf sensor and a squib of easy start.
No fault codes present, I’m at the point of getting a bit worried it’s something a bit more serious I’m reasonably ok with a spanner in hand but no mechanic.

Many thanks for your time H

Yes though wasn’t much I’d say around 50ml it was immediately when removing the plug I did ponder condensation, with the oil filter cap having no o ring. She’s got a patchy history the year before last driven less than 1000 miles, then 3000 and 3000 roughly again.
Though yes Iam fearing what you say!

During it spurting episode the temperature remained bang in the middle, knowing there was a chance it would start leaking my eyes were almost glued to it 😂

Possibly blown a head gasket. But I'm no exert on LPG engines.
That was honestly my first thought was almost expecting a milkshake in the coolant and the oil, almost thinking maybe thrown a rod. She was running on petrol at the time.
At this point it’s more is it worth persevering? It was cheap so wasn’t expecting much from the old girl but I’ve grown rather fond of it!
