KV6 head to cam carrier gasket?

My rear window is in the up position on the outside and when I pull in the door catch it doesn't drop to close the door properly, I tried using the button inside to lower it but it wont drop at all, you can hear the motor trying to move it, but its not doing anything, now when i shut the rear door the glass is on the outside and it is raining in........also another problem is my front window washer is not working, have checked the fuses and they are fine.....help ??

Just a tip though, it's usually best to start a new thread if you have an unrelated question.

Also, I STRONGLY recommend you don't use your email address as a username - we get strange tratter drivers on here...

I have the same KV6 engine in my MG race car. I was also surprised to find the gasket a sheet of metal. Anyways. Just add a small amount of sealer around the cover and directly onto the engine. Your have no problems afterwards.

I can't figure out how to do that and also don't know how to change my user profile ! Can you advise me please ?

May be worth marking it urgent as he's a busy chap

As for threads......at the top of each section of the forum there is a 'new thread' button. Worth using the search function on the top bar first though (not the google one.....the other one)
