Hello,
It's great to see a really busy Land Rover forum - I am posting to let you know about a great series of events being organised to raise funds for Mountain Rescue.
Through the course of 2008 there will be a series of Kielder 4x4 Safaris - these are nothing new - the Forestry Commission have been running them for nearly a decade now and due to increasing popularity of the event and increased resourcing constraints the Grand Tour of Northumberland has been asked to help in the delivery of the Safari days.
Kielder is a small village surrounded by Wark, Kielder, Redesdale and Newcastleton forests - together these make up one of the largest man made forests in Western Europe. Kielder is located near to Hexam, Northumberland. Approximately 50 miles from Newcastle and 40 miles from Carlisle by road.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Grand Tour or the 4x4 Safari days then check the website Home
The first Safari date is March 29th 2008 and an entry form can be downloaded here: http://www.gton.co.uk/safari_booking.pdf
Would be great to see some of you there.
