which has most stands with stuff for sale and with more to do activities looking at both websites and they sound exactly the same

Kelmarsh is a new site for the OLD Billing land rover show, No one has actually attended this site before with this show as it is the first Year.

Billing is a new "show" at the place where the off road course and camping used to be, the off road course is a nice drive at Billing. I suspect as they are so close a lot of stands will just transfer from one to the other.

Cheers

So yore telling me is the billing offroad show is the new one

New show, but at the old camping and off road course, the ground where the Show used to be "billing aquadrome" no longer runs car shows, So the owner of the Farm land and the off road course took it over. He now has the show , off road course and camping all on his land. Which is adjacent to the billing aquadrome.

Cheers

I won't be at Kelmarsh, but I will be at Peterborough on the Glass stand .. :)

Probably one good reason to go to Kelmarsh ...

I was planned for Billing, I like the driving courses they are fun. However I realised I was already going to a Charity weekend. Missed out on driving at Billing this weekend due to marshaling at the Oxford Race for life.

I think this first year will be telling as to how either of these shows go.

If you are into trade stands then this is what is planned for billing.

I am going to Kelmarsh, I think its going to be a good show, Billing is ok if you want the off road course but that's about it

Bugger me...I have no idea which show to go to as each seems a duplicate of each other a week apart...surely they're nicking each others business. ...????

Who is going to which show ?

I was going to give you and Rob a shout to see if you're going to either of these shows, and if so which day.

I am tempted to visit the Kelmarsh show.

Had a good day out at Kelmarsh today, for its first year they did really well. I would think in the years to come this will be a great show, they need to sort the ground out as it was quite boggy in places due to the rain, but top marks to them for a good day out. prices were good except food stalls which were a rip off but that's the same at every venue.

Went to both, neither were as good as when held at Billing only. The off road route at billing is far better it is just a shame that there was only a week between. According to sources the Billing show next year is going to be in late May or June. It will be interesting to see when Live Promotions decide to have their Land Rover show.

I went to both.
Kelmarsh put on a good show!
Felt a bit cheated however. I had read that one of the Cobleys (I forget which one) had designed a brand new course just for the show. The, discovered it was actually at an existing off road place six miles up the road. Felt it was a bit tame but was cheap enough.
Billing's off road course was as good as I remember. Haven't been there for about ten years though.
Me and a mucka did Kelmarsh and then two more muckas joined in for Billing.
We did the Riverside course, which was over with all too quickly and then the propa course the following day
Made it through the mud on the first attempt. The first to do so after watching about nine cars before us all fail!
Then cocked it up the next time around.
The marshal in charge looked at my Insa Turbo Risco mud terrains and declared I must turn around as "you ain't getting through with them on!"
I pointed out that we managed it last time.
He said it had got deeper.
We said we made it through last time. ...
He threw his arms up and said it was up to us and walked away.
We lined up, and floored it!
Aaaand got stuck.
He was right.
It HAD gotten deeper!
Wouldn't it be nice if the mud pit came BEFORE the water? I wouldn't have to spend a fiver at the pressure washer when I got home then...
I was relieved not to get kicked off the course. The first time around we got stopped by a marshal to enquire if the passengers in the back were wearing their seatbelts? They weren't! MUPPETS!
Then on the second time round, the same marshal, stopped us again to enquire if that was alcohol in them there cans that they were drinking?
It was! So they were read the riot act and had to tip their cans out of the window. I hasten to add, me, the driver wasn't drinking anything!
Billing's trade stands were a bit disappointing. The chap from Beartown? Tyres reckoned he had sold out of several ranges of tyres at Kelmarsh but hadn't sold many at Billing. I hope things picked up later during the weekend. I'm hoping things pick up for them next year!
I think having the two events on consecutive weekends was always going to be bad for the second one.
I'll be booking up for both as soon as tickets become available.
