I have to agree with the above sentiment, personally for me it looks awful, but the advantage that I can see is that you have a lot more bonnet space to fit a longer engine, straight 8, v12, v16 etc. If you are keeping the original short engine then there is no point in spending lots of money to create empty unusable space under the bonnet. Especially with the points mentioned above regarding the lack of resale and potential legal issues with getting it registered.

This is part of the reason to extend for a future conversion.

Would a 110 chassis work by putting a 90 body on but further back without triggering an SVA?

Unsure... any chassis mods needs an sva
You will need to do a lot of redesign on the panels

I think you need to go and do some research. Way too much info for a forum post reply. The .gov site has all the details. But is not 100% clear on the legislation behind the guidance.

Do note. All you will find is guidance and opinions. There are no certainties in regards to this topic.

The 110 is a lot longer. I’m only assuming this longnose is a 105” wheelbase. You’d need to check. The p38 is already 3” longer if the case. The 110 a further 2”. That long nose may end up extended.

It might be possible. But I’m pretty sure any route you go down will have some plus and minus points vs other options. Hence why Kahn clearly build them as a brand new vehicle rather than altering an existing one.

I’ll do some more research. Maybe the P38 base with the 90 body will be the way forward with an SVA. I think kit car insurance will be cheaper than a heavily modified car insurance from what I’ve read.
