grumpy openreach fella! i would of been looking at your landy from the top of the stick, and guessed its your tarp!

I am honestly struggling to find appropriate words to explain my utter admiration for the work, and the speed, that you have managed in a small, uncovered yard.

You sir are nothing short of phenomenal.

cheers matey

that could be the reason that the company im on the sick from has sent me a letter stating theyre gonna extend me sick time from 6 months to 12 keeping my placement open

while i was working there i fitted the bodykits on the undersides of articulate trailers with 1 other fella ( a czeck republican immigrant no less ) doing 6 trailers a day we soon got to the point usually by morning brew where we had worked our way through the first 2 filled both bays and started fitting them in the yard outside sending them back to tthe farm to be stored normally 3-4 times a day
even the head boss used to reffer to me and deiaz as the fukkin robots :confused:

Bt are always grumpy bastids :p useless too……

Good luck finishing it anyway, cant wait to see the finished article :) If you want some light guards for the rear I've got a set you can have free if you're up this way.

Might have a couple of other small series bits too if you're lucky :p

them tents are good but getting rare now also get his canvas sheet and how did that tarp get so far!

could have blown round the flats or up and over its anyones guess but i did spend 1 hour the next morning on our roof replacing a dozen rosemary tiles that slipped off the roof :cool::cool:

not done a right lot due to the weather and finally giving in to the missus nagging about some shelves being needed in the wardrobe so i managed to get the areal in

with thr rain i thought id drill the hole for the switch to run the areal into the dash bottom with a bit of a disaster and chewed a 1" dia hole in the plastic finish due to not realising theres half an inch of foam behind it

in the end i turned to the lathe and made a brass bezzel for the switch and have come up with the idea of trimming the oval hole in the middle of the dash with brass aswell

missus said i cant have a new tarp after the last £20 one did its own film impression overnight

gone with the wind

found it wrapped round the top of a telegraph post bout 900 yards away with a bt openreach fella up the pole with it cursing and swearing at it shouting things like fukkin thoughtless bastids :eek:

thought id better not ask fer it back :behindsofa::behindsofa::behindsofa:
That made me laugh. I can picture the scene.:D

I like that - just need electric bulkhead air vents now to be real flash!

now thats an interesting idea :rolleyes:

could be possible with a pair of heavily modified lecci window motors with the torque reducers still attatched :smokin: :smokin: ill have to get her on the road for her maiden voyage to pimhole scrappers for a pair :cool::cool:

on another note me missus sister has got her new fella moving in and weve been offered a 12 month old leather corner couch

now the leather couch im sat on as i type this is 1" narrower than the series cab and if i hack 12" off the bottom it should be the right height to fit on the seatbox niceley

the missus cought me measuring the couch up earlier today she nearley went into labour when i told her what i was planning to do :D:D:D

Only one problem with that...................when you put your hand down the back of the sofa you'll find old heater plugs and fuel filters instead of money! :D

better make sure i leave the keys in the ignition or on the dash

id look a right **** searching for them down the back of the sofa pulling out old tv remotes and crisp packets :D:D:D

I like the couch idea, I was thinking of measuring up the back seat on my V70 so I could have a bench seat! Obviously I would look for one with heat elements in it for the winter :)

what a day ive had i got a phonecall this morning from someone asking if i can remove a snapped spark plug from a ford KA wich i told him yes if he brings a new set of plugs with him ill sort it out

he turned up with none snapped plug as expected but it looked seriously like the plugs have never been changed from the car being new i had to chisel me way round whats left of the things to remove 1/2" of rust build up then heated one up with the blowlamp and tried easing it with the plug remover only to carrot the head off the bastid

i then tried a stud extractor reverse pigtail wich snapped off in the plug fooooookkkk

at this point the geezer is ****ting broken glass thinking hes never going to sort this out so i heated the buggers up again and sprayed them with WD40 and left them to soak while i machined 4 heavy duty bolts to fit perfectly in the studs then blew the exess WD40 away with the air line then welded the bolts into the sparkplugs

after a 10 minute cool down i then had to use the impact hammer driver with a socket on the end to shock the buggers loose and finally they came out using the socket set 6 hours straight and only 4 plugs changed what a bloody nightmare still made a few pennies fer it and have now got me brake fluid and gonna get the rest of me connectors to finish the wiring off maybee tomorrow

i would take a few piccies of the plugs ive changed so you lot can see what an effort it really was but jaymies been messing with the bloody camera again and put it somewhere i cant find it grrrr today just aint gone right !!!

No pics.....didn't happen ;)

Johnny in shocker lazy day!

At least thay came out, I am not surprised her was bricking it when they weren't coming out but I like the idea of putting bolt through them.
Sounds like your shed has everything you might need :D

John.

no piccies well ill just reiterate with this one of the offending collateral damage :D:D:D:D

the reason i only have 3 cores in the pic is the fact that one was originaly fired out of its housing and was found wedged into the seal between the slam pannel and the radiator grille looking like a nail out of a hilti gun totaly unmoveable without stripping the front of the car :eek::eek:

would have been lethal if it had hit anyone :eek:

LOL the times I've touched something on some bodies car and then hours latter and it's going dark and i'm thinking why did I touch it WHY.

you know i did have that feeling when the first one carroted off i nearley crapped in me keks

but at the same time was thinking **** i cant panick infront of its owner now :eek:

so i got cleffer and used me arsenal :boxing::boxing:

:D..and a few quiet secret prayres....:D

what a bloody day i spent from 9.30 to 11.45 walking to the spares shop just for the connectors and more satin black and silver paint to finish me bits n bobs

now ive only been in the house for half an hour due to graftin me guts out trying to finish the wiring to my total dismay

the only things ive not wired up yet are the heater fan motor wich im still fettliung with other motors and fans till i get a satisfactory blower
and the washer pump wiring as its just an ancilliary to the rest of the work to be done

my main problem at the moment is after sat there all afternoon ****ed through shivvering swearing burning me fingers with the soldering iron

nothing works on the back cap ignition switch but it does when i bypass the bugger
if i take the switch out and bench test it it works perfectly ive gone through the wiring diagram wire by wire and just cant get it to work

so i didnt manage to get it to the next piccie stage as it still looks a mess and not much different to how its looked all week

on the original engine diesel 10j can anyone tell me weather the glow heater plugs are supposed to be permanently on or just on while the starter motor is live as the haynes book of bull**** doesnt say as usual
