Can you confirm:Hi Hippo,
I got it figured out today when having a look on the check sheet tacr2man sent me recently with his results. The round plug c0243 is pin 18 and the rectangular one in the engine compartment c0932 is pin 17 and 9 for ground. So everything seems fine. My cable defect is one major problem with me. Sorry the pc is changing letter to capital all the time.
Best Regards
Matthias
The intermediate sensor was removed from later jatco gear boxes. Hence why the pins are missing. The sensor failed on a number of boxes. Lot of work to replace. Firmware in yer auto's computer will be the later version that don't need that sensor. Is yer car still having problems?I have a Freelander 2005 TD4 automatic. Shortly after a car wash it just stopped and freewheeled to the road side. I suspect water ingress somewhere as the carwash guy went mad with his pressure wash hose. I have opened the JATCO ECU connector C0932 and all results were in range except Pins21 - 20 which were open circuit. I have now removed the battery and battery box and opened connector C0243. To my surprise there are no Pins 3 and 4. Does this mean that there is no intermediate speed sensor on the TD4 JATCO? I have an iCarsoft CR PRO but when checking the fault codes it freezes when reading the ABS ECU. I also checked with an OBII adapter and my smart phone and got two fault codes. P0501 Vehicle sensor "A" range performance and P1637 which is manufacturer defined as CAN link engine control module / ABS control module circuit / network malfunction. Any suggestions would be helpful.
