Lots of FWD auto boxes have side mounted sumps/ valve blocks. So often the fluid doesn't need draining out to service them. However as the fluid is a vital but degrading fluid. Why would anyone want to pump old and possibly contaminated fluid through new and expensive solenoid valves. False economy imho.
